Help with QR codes in screenshots, photos and PDFs.
Scan an image or PDF
Open Better QR and choose Image, PDF or Camera. Select your file or take a photo. The app shows the decoded content before you choose to open a destination or copy the result.
To scan from another app, open its Share menu and select Better QR. If Better QR is not visible, check More in the list of apps.
For a PDF with several pages, use the page controls to continue checking the document. If a code is not found, try a clearer image that includes the complete code and its border.
Free scans and Unlimited
The app includes three free scans. After the allowance is used, the purchase screen offers Unlimited as a one-time In-App Purchase. It is not a subscription. The price comes from the App Store for your account's region.
Restore a purchase
Use the same Apple Account that bought Unlimited. If the app shows the purchase screen, tap Restore Purchases below Unlock. The app also checks for an existing purchase when it starts. When Unlimited is already active, the purchase screen is hidden.
If a price does not load, check your internet connection and tap Try Again. If restoring does not unlock the app, contact us before buying again.
Scan history
Recent results are stored on your device. Open History to see older results. Swipe a result to delete it. Keep any results you need before removing the app.
Contact support
Use the email link on our contact page. Include your device model, iOS version, app version and the steps that caused the problem. Do not include passwords, payment details or private QR contents.
