Better QR
Privacy policy
QR recognition runs on your device.
Last updated: 16 October 2026.
JD Software Architecture Analytics AB provides Better QR. This policy describes the app and the support pages on this website.
Images, photos and PDFs
Better QR processes the images and PDFs you select, and photos you take for scanning, on your device. The app does not upload these files or their decoded QR contents to us. It does not keep a separate permanent library of source images or PDFs.
Data stored on your device
The app stores decoded QR contents and scan dates in local history. It also stores the remaining free-scan allowance and a cached Unlimited purchase status. The app and its Share Extension share these records through iOS storage on your device.
You can delete history entries in the app. Device backups and restores follow your Apple settings. We do not operate a server that stores or synchronizes your scan history.
Accounts, analytics and advertising
Better QR does not require an app account. It contains no advertising, third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not sell your scan data.
Purchases and Apple services
Apple processes In-App Purchases and restores through the App Store. Better QR uses Apple's StoreKit framework to check whether Unlimited is available for your account. We do not receive your payment card details. Apple may process purchase, diagnostic and account information under Apple's privacy policy and your device settings.
Links and copied results
If you choose to open a decoded destination, the destination app or website receives the request and applies its own privacy policy. If you copy a result, it is placed on the system clipboard.
Support requests
If you contact us, we receive the email address, message and attachments you send. We use that information to answer your request and investigate the issue. We keep it only as long as needed for support or applicable legal obligations. Please avoid sending private QR contents or other unnecessary personal information.
